Safety Training Certification Skill Set
Course Duration & Fees:

This skill set is offered by AMFA to people who are employed or seeking employment in the seafood or maritime industries to work on a near coastal commercial marine vessel, or on an International/offshore vessel.

Upon successful completion of this skill set you will receive a Statement for the AMSA approved Basic Safety and Security Awareness Training, listing individual International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping sections and a Statement of Attainment from the AMFA listing the units of competency. 

This skill set meets some of the industry requirements to obtain a Certificate of Safety Training.  For other regulatory requirements please visit the AMSA website to view the current AMSA Marine Order (MO70)

The Skill set requires revalidation/reassessment every five (5) years, please refer to the CoST Continued Competence information page for further details.
